Welcome to Mr. Mike Tunney's page
I'm Mr. Mike Tunney and I believe in letting children's natural curiosity drive their learning. I love kids and believe that each child is special, beautiful and valuable and that they should know that too. I think that the world is beautiful and that when we accept and embrace each other than together we can make the world a better place. By working together and using everyone's strengths, we can develop the most beautiful version of ourselves and our world.
My Teaching Philosophy
I love kids and want to help make sure that they are all able to reach their potential. I hope to be able to instill a love of learning that they can carry with them for a lifetime. The kids need love, attention and patience that I can help provide while giving them a solid basis to grow with.
One thing that I truly believe, is that all of my students are unique, with their own special talents and abilities. I am very fond of a saying from the Disney/Pixar movie Ratatouille that "Anyone can cook!" But as he says, I have to make sure they are not afraid, and that they have confidence.
